Adding Value to your Employer
Our corporate partnerships with over 400
organisations in over 20 countries around the world mean that our teaching
and research is informed by the latest best-practice through relevant case
studies, guest speakers, and unbeatable networking opportunities.
These partnerships, alongside our
world-class research, ensure our teaching is commercially relevant and
addresses the ‘real world’ challenges facing businesses and policy makers in
the rapidly changing global economy.
We specialise in supporting individuals and organisations to
transfer the learning from our courses to the workplace. We passionately believe that the learning shouldn't
stop after the taught sessions, but that it transforms individuals and the
organisations they work for, adding a wide range of benefits from changes in
thinking, implementing new ideas and leading more successful projects.
How you are taught
Loughborough’s Executive Education Centre specialises in adult
learning which is based on developing your critical thinking skills, and your
ability to analyse and evaluate complex problems. We recognise that as an adult you many learn
in a number of different ways and bring with you your own unique experience and
way of looking at the world.
Adult learners tend to be intrinsically motivated to learn, and
bring with them a range of experience and expertise that adds to the learning
experience. They also tend to look for
real life application and relevance. Our
programmes are therefore experiential in style with an emphasis on application
of theory to practice.
All our programmes include sector-specific case studies, work-based
assignments and opportunities for networking and group project work with
professionals from related roles and sectors to maximise professional relevance
and return on investment.
Most of our courses are taught through a
combination of block study days on campus in conjunction with some e-learning.
This means you get ample opportunity to learn from each other and the tutors,
developing both group and independent study skills, whilst minimising
disruption to your employer.
Every year, many of our delegates comment
how much they benefited from learning from other professionals on the course –
a support network that lasts beyond graduation in many cases.
Loughborough is a fantastic place to study
Voted England’s Best Student Experience for
six years running (2006-2011), as well as in 2016, we aim to ensure all our students get the very
best possible experience in terms of professional development, teaching and
research input, support services, location and campus facilities.
This applies just as much to our executive
students as it does for our undergraduates. Even though you may only be on
campus for a few days at a time, you will become part of a lively, buzzing
campus atmosphere comprising over 18,000 staff and students from around the
world, all of which makes studying at Loughborough so special.
