The majority of issues arise from the use of unsupported operating systems and / or browsers. Ensure you meet the system requirements before you proceed. If you encounter a problem, note as much detail as possible then look through the list of ‘known issues’. If this does not solve your problem please refer to the ‘Technical Support’ page.

Multi Function Mice

Multi function mice have buttons for 'browser back' or browser forward'. If you click one of these you will experience problems during a test.

We advice you NOT to use these features on the mice during a test as this will result in loss of answers which will NOT be retrievable.

Before attempting a coursework test, select, and fully complete the test labelled '00 Try this test before attempting any other’.
You only need to do this if you are not using a Computing Services managed PC in a lab, if you have never attempted to use the system from your chosen PC before, if you have made any changes to your system that may affect web services or if you do not meet the system requirements.

If you experience problems with any of the questions in this test, or submitting the test then this means your browser is not compatible with our assessment system. Please refer to the 'Known Issues' page where you may find the answer to the issue you are facing.

If all is well go ahead and take your coursework test. If you can't fix your problem either install the University standard web browser or take the test from an IT Services managed PC lab. Do check the ‘Known Issues’ page before proceeding to the ‘Technical Support’ page.
