This is a student lead module designed to teach people about coding in different languages. At the moment students, doing physics, only code in C++ and LaTeX during the first 3 year, and have no real experience in other computer languages. This needs to be changed as the entire science community is becoming more computer lead. In that to conduct experiments and process experimental data we need computers.
This Currently this module is designed to teach students how to code using a number of different computer languages/tools such as: Excel Macro's, something that I found very useful last year on placement and MatLab, a piece of software used a lot during final year projects. I also hope that we are able to expand this to other software/computer languages such as Swift and also provide refreshers for people in languages like Latex and C++.
Second Semester Module.
