As previously communicated, the Remote Working Service (VPN), a service that provides staff and students with secure access to resources when working away from campus is being upgraded on Wednesday 18th April 2018 (7am – 8am).

Notification of when service is back up running will be available via the IT Services Twitter account @LboroITServices and the IT Services Announcements feed: www.lboro.ac.uk/it/announcements/

How will the works affect me?

Remote Working Portal Users

From the 18th April 2018, the Remote Working Portal will no longer be available. If you are a user of this service, IT Services recommends you investigate the suitability of the client based VPN service, please refer to http://www.lboro.ac.uk/services/it/student/vpn/

Users of Cisco AnyConnect Client

Windows devices and Mac OS users must ensure they are running at least version 4 of the AnyConnect client.  Updates can be downloaded from the IT Services website (http://www.lboro.ac.uk/services/it/student/vpn/vpn/).  If you do not upgrade to version 4.x of the AnyConnect client, you will not able to connect to the VPN Service after the hardware change on 18th April 2018.
