Mendeley Reference Manager is an online reference management application and is the updated interface designed to replace Mendeley Desktop.

From 23 August 2022, users will no longer be able to download and install the Mendeley Desktop software.

However, existing users of Desktop will continue to be able to sign into, use and sync their Mendeley Desktop. It is anticipated that Mendeley Desktop will stop all sign-ins in Summer 2023.

Mendeley Reference Manager can be downloaded now from the Mendeley website. References and folders held in the Desktop version are transferable to the new platform.
