The EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Embedded Intelligence

Loughborough University and Heriot-Watt University

The EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Embedded Intelligence is run in partnership by Loughborough University and Heriot-Watt University. The CDT-EI is jointly funded by the University partners, industry and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). The Centre has funding for 5 cohorts of researchers to commence PhD projects is relevant areas.

CDT-EI researchers follow a bespoke, student-centric, industry-informed programme of training to complement their PhD studies. They join a cohort of researchers supporting each other through shared experiences and peer-to-peer learning. During the 4-year PhD programme the researchers benefit from personal and professional development training enabling them to become effective, enterprising researchers and managers. The training programme is accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management and is accompanied by research impact activities delivered through sponsored industrial projects.
